Filing Indicates a HUGE Battery on the New Samsung Galaxy S7

New filings with the FCC released on Monday show that Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy S7 Edge will feature a 3,600 mAh battery. While this news might not satisfy everyone who is unhappy that Samsung did away with removable batteries, this should mean that the S7 Edge will be able to last longer between charge-ups.

For comparison's sake, last year's Galaxy S6 Edge came with a meager 2,600 mAh battery, which infuriated many users, even though it came with quick-charge technology.

The battery size of the standard Galaxy S7 is still unconfirmed, but reports indicate that it will carry a 3,000 mAh pack, the same size as last year's Galaxy S6 edge+.

If you're still sore that Samsung's newest flagships won't have removable batteries, there are reports out of Germany that Samsung will offer a "Backpack Case" for the S7/Edge with a 2,700 mAh rechargeable battery, bundled with a wireless charger. The drawback? It's rumored to cost close to $100.
